Charges are calculated on the hours and part hours spent on the client's premises. VAT is not payable. Daily Discount RatesAfter the first four hours chargeable consultancy in any day, the rate reduces by £10 per hour for the rest of that day for Normal and Individual rates and by £5 per hour for Silver Surfers.
Call-out and Travelling ChargesDavid does not charge either a call-out fee or for travelling time. However, there is a minimum charge for a site visit that is based on travelling time. For example, if the total travelling time (both directions added together) is two hours then the minimum charge is for two hours consultancy. A full two hours consultancy is provided for that minimum charge, but that charge will be applied even if only ten minutes consultancy is actually required. Any consultancy provided over the two hours will be charged pro rata at the rates shown above.
Telephone SupportA flat rate charge of £1 per minute is charged for telephone technical support. This fee is only payable when agreed on a call-by-call basis. Minimum £5 charge. It only applies to technical support and only applies when agreed with the client during that call.
Please do not hesitate to call me: nothing is chargeable until we have explicitly agreed otherwise. Telephone support can now include remote control support whereby David can control the client's machine (keyboard, screen and mouse) via a secure internet connection. Remote support may prove very effective for issues that are clearly defined and relatively simple. In these cases support can be offerred quickly and cost-effectively (since there is no minimum charge for an onsite visit (usually between £55 and £110)).
Regular ConsultancyFees for ongoing, regular, consultancy can be as much as one third less than the rates quoted above and can start at just three hours per month. David will be pleased to come and discuss (at no charge) your regular support requirements. PaymentFor the first visit, payment is required at the end of the visit (cash or cheque). Thereafter, payment can be against invoice. An invoice/receipt is always emailed in pdf format following the visit. A hard copy invoice/receipt can be arranged if preferred. The above rates do not apply for "PayPerClick" management. |
